Who this policy applies to
This policy covers visitors to the Memory Tune website, customers who generate previews or buy a song, and anyone who contacts us for support.
What data we collect
- Contact details such as your email address and WhatsApp number.
- Story details, names, dates, preferences, voice choices, and other content you submit to create your song.
- Order and payment-related information, including payment status and transaction references.
- Session, browser, device, or usage information needed to keep your song journey working correctly.
- Messages you send if you contact support.
How we use your information
- To generate your lyric preview and full personalised song.
- To take payment, confirm your order, and release paid downloads.
- To email your song links when the paid version is ready.
- To help you recover your songs and provide customer support.
- To prevent abuse, manage fraud risk, keep records, and improve site reliability.
Our lawful bases
Depending on the situation, we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases under UK GDPR:
- Contract: to create, deliver, and support the personalised song you order.
- Legitimate interests: to run the site securely, keep operational records, prevent misuse, and improve the service.
- Legal obligation: where we need to retain information for accounting, tax, or legal compliance.
Who we share data with
We may share relevant information with service providers that help us operate the service, such as payment processors, email delivery providers, hosting providers, content-generation suppliers, and customer-support tools. Examples in the current service flow include Stripe for payment processing and Resend for transactional email delivery.
Memory Tune uses the Meta Pixel to measure page visits and key advertising events such as lead generation, checkout initiation, and purchase confirmation. We do not currently describe the live service as relying on Google Analytics.
International transfers
Some suppliers may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we expect appropriate contractual or legal safeguards to be used for the transfer.
How long we keep data
- Unpaid preview sessions may be stored temporarily for continuity and recovery.
- Paid song libraries and order records may be kept for longer where needed for support, fraud prevention, business records, and legal obligations.
- Data stored locally in your browser remains there until it expires or you clear it.
We review retention in light of operational need, customer support, and legal obligations.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent where consent is the lawful basis. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office if you believe your data has been handled unlawfully.
